Introduction
The VTCT VRQ is aimed at learners aged 16+. The purpose of the qualification is to provide learners with an understanding of mental health and mental ill-health. Learners will develop knowledge of a range of mental health conditions, the issues surrounding mental health and the legal frameworks that impact on the quality of care provided.
Course content
Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of a range of mental health conditions, their causes, signs and symptoms and ways in which these conditions will be managed. The qualification will also aim to raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health and dispel some of the myths and misconceptions often linked to mental health.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements.
Assessment
You will be required to sit an externally set and externally marked theory examination with VTCT. An external quality assurer, appointed by VTCT, will visit our centre to sample and quality-check assessments, the internal quality assurance process and the evidence gathered.
Course delivery
The course will be delivered online covering 10 modules.
Course fee – £135.00
The course fee includes VTCT registration and fee for VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health Awareness.
Online course content, email/zoom support and assessment.
A £35 non-refundable deposit will be required to secure a place.
