Introduction
The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training has been designed to enable you to develop practical teaching skills. The course content covers planning, delivery, assessment, and the use of resources. This qualification is suitable for trainee teachers, those experienced in a teaching role and those working as assessors who wish to gain a teaching qualification.
National Occupational Standards (NOS)
This qualification has been mapped to the relevant NOS and is regulated on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
Prerequisites
To undertake this qualification, you must be 18 years of age and above.
Assessment
Throughout this qualification you will produce a portfolio of evidence. This will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills that you have learnt. Your work will be assessed, and quality assured by centre staff. An external quality assurer, appointed by VTCT, will visit our centre to sample and quality-check assessments, the internal quality assurance process and the evidence gathered.
Observation outcomes
There is a requirement for a minimum of 30 hours of teaching practice and assessed observations for this qualification with a minimum of 3 assessed observations.
Assignments
You will complete five assignments to show your knowledge.

There are no exams within this qualification.
Course delivery
The course will be delivered in the evening on a weekly basis over six months 5.00pm-9.00pm.

Course fee – £1200
The course fee includes VTCT registration.
Face-to-face training, online course content, email support and assessment.
A £100 non refundable deposit will be required to secure a place.
